Structured Wiring (Voice & Data Network) Installations

Structured wiring is a general term that refers to a whole-house network of audio, video, data, telephone, television, home automation or security signals. Structured wiring begins with a structured networking panel (SNP), which accepts cables from outside providers and distributes the signals directly to each room in your home. These direct lines are called “home runs” and they ensure the strongest possible connection and signal to each of your electronic devices.

Fiber Optics

Fiber optic cable is able to function as a data transfer medium through the transmission of light because the hollow, round glass (or sometimes plastic) wires reflect the light back to the core of the wire, causing the cable to act as a waveguide. There are multiple fiber cables since its invention that include: Plastic fiber, most common used for high-end audio. Multimode fiber made of glass and can come in various sizes (diameters). Single Mode Fiber is the performance leader and is microscopic in size which makes this very hard and expensive to make connections (compared to the other two).

Smart Home Automation

Smart Home Automation is building automation for a home that will monitor and/or control home attributes such as lighting, climate, entertainment systems,  and appliances. It may also include home security such as access control and alarm systems. A home automation system typically connects controlled devices to a central smart home hub (sometimes called a “gateway”). The user interface for control of the system uses either wall-mounted terminals, tablet or desktop computers, a mobile phone application, or a Web interface that may also be accessible off-site through the Internet.
