Structured wiring begins with a structured networking panel (SNP), which accepts cables from outside providers and distributes the signals directly to each room in your home. Fiber Optics

Fiber optic cable is able to function as a data transfer medium through the transmission of light because the hollow, round glass (or sometimes plastic) wires reflect the light back to the core of the wire, causing the cable to act as a waveguide. There are multiple fiber cables since its invention that include: Plastic fiber, most common used for high-end audio. Multimode fiber made of glass and can come in various sizes (diameters). Single Mode Fiber is the performance leader and is microscopic in size which makes this very hard and expensive to make connections (compared to the other two).
